Dwight Howard Completely Dominates in His Taiwan Debut

This past weekend saw the eight-time NBA All-Star play his first match in Taiwan's T1 League. And he made a truly impressive debut.

Howard, who joined the Taoyuan Leopards earlier this month, scored a total of 38 points , 25 rebounds, nine assists, and nine blocks to aid his side in overturning a double-digit halftime deficit.

In the end, the Leopards defeated the New Taipei CTBC DEA 120-115, and Howard was honoured as "player of the game."

Naturally, Howard's astounding feat caused quite a stir online.

The Taichung Suns will be the Leopards' opponent this Sunday. After 18 seasons in the NBA, Howard this month revealed his partnership with the T1 League.

He stated on Instagram, "It's strange how things play out because back in 2013, I promised Taiwan that I would try my best to return and utilise basketball to preach love and make people smile. “

And now I'm writing this message to let you know that I'll be travelling back to Taiwan with the Taoyuan Leopards to play so that the people there may see me in action.

As you can see by the posters still up on my walls from my first two visits to Taiwan, I've always liked the energy there!

I'm ready to live life to the fullest by playing the sport I love in front of a group of people who love me, and for my people in Taiwan, get your welcome posters ready.
